USC Viterbi Professor Yan Liu was named a fellow by both the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) within the same hour, recognizing her contributions to machine learning, time series and spatio-temporal data analysis, and data mining.
